Tangipahoa Economic Development District (TEDD) was formed by legislative act in 2006 as a political subdivision of Louisiana State Government with the authority to issue economic development bonds including federally authorized GO Zone bonds. TEDD also has the authority to own and manage real property and other authority that exceeds the scope of TEDF, a 501 (c) (3), non-profit foundation.
The 13 Commissioners of TEDD are volunteers and citizens of the parish appointed by each of the ten Parish Council members, the Parish President and two from TEDF. All appointments must be approved by vote of the Tangipahoa Parish Council in an open public meeting.
The thirteen Tangipahoa Economic Development District Commissioners are:
