Those who know Bob Basford know his hearty laugh and his generous way with people.  A native of the area, he is the primary point person for companies who are interested in acquiring sites in Tangipahoa Parish.  Bob has a Bachelor's degree in marketing from Southeastern Louisiana University, and TEDF benefits tremendously from his years of experience in economic development venues.

Bob accepted the position of Executive Director of Tangipahoa Economic Development Foundation in October 2002. Before that time, he spent many years in management and sales management in the technology industry. His business experience gives him a healthy perspective about all the key components of business growth:  site selection, financing, marketing, training, personnel, and an array of other topics.

A resident of Tangipahoa Parish, Bob maintains a comfortable balance of aggressive growth philosophy while still seeking to maintain the cultural integrity of the area and the exceptional quality of life for its citizens.
